About Our Restaurant

Lime Kiln Kitchen is inspired by our travels over the years; from Cromer to Cape Town and lots of places in between. The décor is an eclectic mix with colonial and Victorian influences and a sprinkling of Art Deco too. With seating arranged to accommodate intermit meetings right through to large family affairs, there is space for all and including a dog friendly corner of a room.  The design has been a ‘labour of love’ to include in places oversized comfy leather sofas, individual style dining tables and chairs, living plants and aged artefacts. With the aim of transporting you to faraway places.  Enjoy the tranquillity of the seating on the open-air decking or the intimacy of one of the many cosy corners in the lounge. Our restaurant seats many but its unique set up ensures our customers can relax and enjoy their food and drink whatever the occasion.

A Place to Relax

Our restaurant changes with the season. From cosy get togethers around the wood burner in the winters to plenty of fresh air to enjoy in the outside seating areas in the spring and summer. There are stunning views across farmland, whether seated inside or out and never with any rush to vacate your seat; just plenty of time to sit back, relax and enjoy your visit.

About Our Food

We source many ingredients locally and aim to provide seasonal dishes alongside many of our favourites. Our menu’s change regularly and we always aim to provide exceptional service, including during busy periods.

Our Head Chef

James our head chef has worked in the food industry for the duration of his career. Prior to his training as a chef, he was a trained butcher. He has a passion for cooking and enjoys being creative with local ingredients and developing innovative recipes. This creativity is evident in every single dish that leaves the kitchen. Looks don’t deceive, whether a slice of cake or a three course meal, the best ingredients are incorporated in every dish, making sure every mouth full is a pure pleasure.

James spent most of his childhood in his family kitchen cooking traditional dishes with his mother. He also enjoys growing herbs and vegetables in his spare time and has a young family.
